Support a movement where your donation provides assistance to local veterans who are children, parents, grandparents, and your neighbours.
Together, the Saskatoon Legion branches and the Army and Navy Veterans (ANAVETS) carry out their annual Poppy Campaign starting late October, with all funds raised going to support veterans in the City of Saskatoon and greater area. Poppy Campaign volunteers commit thousands of hours each year to help raise funds for veterans.
The funds raised go into the Saskatoon Poppy Fund for distribution to veterans’ causes and supports by the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Trustees. All funds are used in strict accordance with the Legion’s General Bylaws.
Veterans from the Armed Services, Police, RCMP, and their dependents, are eligible to apply for financial aid from the Saskatoon Poppy Fund, whether they are Legion members or not.
Over the past 10 years, the Saskatoon Poppy Fund has invested $1.2 million in Saskatoon and area to support local veterans and their families.
